Arts in the Park – Monoprinting

Feather Printing – monoprint feathers using ink (please wear old clothes) Rockhampton Regional Council presents weekly art workshops at the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens (meet at the Gardens Tearooms) from 1-3pm every Saturday. The workshops are FREE and no bookings are required.

Recommended ages 4+. Please ensure all minors under 18 are supervised by parent or carer

Kids Futuristic City Hundertwasser Workshop with Ainslie McMahon

Paint a futuristic city – Hundertwasser style with Ainslie McMahon. Become an architect and draw and paint your own futuristic city, after looking at the Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO bricks exhibition and the distinct architecture and art of famous artist Hundertwasser.  About the workshop You will design your own Hundertwasser inspired city, drawing utopian towers that represent your vision of a future Arcadian city, your very own Towers of Tomorrow. Participants will manipulate various media for their final artwork such as crayon, charcoal and coloured pencil, and will be encouraged and guided to present a finished artwork of high quality. About the Tutor Ainslie McMahon is a local artist/educator who has exhibited widely in regional Queensland and facilitated numerous community art workshops for people of all ages. Her work is included in regional gallery collections in Bundaberg and Rockhampton, and numerous private collections.  Ainslie works from her home studio in a rural location near Rockhampton, producing contemporary artwork in the genre of the landscape and culture of Central Queensland.

CAA Special Adoption Day

Make sure you head on down to PETStock Rockhampton Sunday 15th January between 9:00am and 12:00pm to meet some of the gorgeous animals available for adoption through CAA.

Our very ‘special 18’ kittens are now available for adoption and looking for their forever homes. Adoption fee includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
